WORK IT — DON’T BEG!

“Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let His Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!”

James 1:22 (TPT)

All things were made by the word of God (Hebrews 11:3). The universe was created and beautifully coordinated by the power of God’s words.

The word of God is the constitution and the Wisdom of  God. It is actively full of energy.

The word of God is designed to accomplish its purpose when God sends it forth. However, the word of God in your life will not work automatically. The word of God will not be fulfilled or manifest in your life without your participation.

The word of God is a seed of God which is sown in your heart as you read or hear it preached and taught.

You have a responsibility to guard that seed, nurture it, water it, and prune it for better growth till the season of great harvest.

When you find yourself in a tough situation where everything seems not to work, you must go for God’s word.

Understand that, everything in God works by the word. And though nothing works without the word of God, the word of God doesn’t work by itself. You have to put the word to work.

There are certain tough situations which may press you so hard that you begin to doubt whether you can have solutions. Sometimes you may think you have tried all that you can to get out of it, and nothing seems to work. It may even leave you in a state where you begin to beg for a solution.

The word of God always works when you work it out. Becoming beggarly wouldn’t bring you out of your challenges.

You stand tall above challenges when you persistently stand on the word and act it out.

Be determined to become a doer of the word.

The word is given to you to become your action. You don’t just have to be a good hearer. The word doesn’t work for you when you don’t do it.

That is what it means to live by faith. You must have confidence in the word and act on it without doubt.

Let your life become the fulfillment of what God has said.

After Jesus had taught the people from Peter’s boat. The Lord asked Peter and his friends to row out their boat to deep waters to cast their nets and they will have a great catch. (See Luke 5:4-7)

Not long before the Lord Jesus used their boat, Peter and his friends returned from all night fishing and they didn’t catch a thing. But this time, Peter and his friends decided to still go out again to let down their nets only because of the WORD OF THE LORD.

According to the facts based on Peter’s experience, it will be another waste of time to roll out his boat for fishing again.

But this time, he was not acting based on his professional experience in fishing. He was acting on the word of the Lord.

Look at what Peter said himself:

“But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” Luke 5:5 (NKJV)

Peter let down his net according to the WORD OF JESUS!

And see what happened:

“When they pulled up their nets, they were shocked to see a huge catch of fish, so much that their nets were ready to burst!” Luke 5:6 (TPT).

The word of God always works when you act on it.

Don’t live begging. Live acting out the Word of God!
