REDEMPTION OF TIME AND EARLY SUCCESS 2
“Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days!”Â
Psalm 90:14 (NKJV)
You can be satisfied in your labour at the dawn or morning of your life.
You don’t have to struggle through life till old age before you experience success. You can have the God-kind of success early.
Take note, God centered success or God kind of success, is not necessarily about the possession of material things. It is not the car you drive, the house you’ve bought, or the amount of money in your bank account. The God-kind of success is basically achieving God’s plan for you within a particular season.
To have early success is to step into the fullness of your calling or purpose. It is making tangible impact in the lives of people through the mandate the Lord has given you.
Most people who don’t experience early success in the Kingdom, are often people who were busy with the pursuit of their own desires until they finally find the need to turn to God and follow His direction.
If you want to experience God early then you must seek Him early.
“O God, thou art my God;Â early will I seek thee:Â my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips“ Psalm 63:1-5 (KJV)
Your early season to seek God is now. It takes a lot of steadfastness to grow into the assignment of God for your life. There are no “short cuts”, you can’t jump process. There is no sudden success.
Jesus didn’t just wake up to use the last three (3) years of His life to accomplish these great results. He spent the first 30 years of His life to be prepared and built up into His purpose.
There are about 11 years between Paul’s conversion (in Acts 9:1-9) and when he and Barnabas were separated by the Holy Spirit to their unique assignment the Lord has set for them.
Paul the apostle didn’t just step into the scene to accomplish the things which he did.
David didn’t just receive boldness overnight to defeat Goliath. According to the testimony of David to Saul, just as Goliath has been trained for war since childhood, he (David) was also prepared by God through several experiences as a shepherd boy. David’s learnt early in his life to deliver any of his lamb from a lion or bear as a shepherd. Therefore He had that same confidence that the Lord will help him deliver Israel out of the hands of Goliath and the army of the Philistines. (1 Samuel 17:34-36).
Before these moment, David had learnt to defend what has been entrusted to him. He was always ready for the victory against Goliath.
You cannot have early success when you don’t know how to make the most of every opportunity the Lord bring your way.
Don’t waste time!
Set your affection on the Lord.
Set your focus on the Lord and His assignment for your life.Â
Stay committed to it now. Continue to serve the Lord’s purpose for your life. Be determined and diligent to accomplish the targets or goals given to you by the Lord.
And you will begin to see the satisfaction of success.
Shalom.
