THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT 1
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”
Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)
If you have been following this discussion on the armor of God, I believe your understanding of the various armor pieces and their function is taking shape and getting richer.
The believer in Christ is both a citizen and a soldier of the Kingdom. In the Kingdom of God, there are no civilians.
And the adversary, though he is defeated and disarmed, consistently strategies and attempts to deceive the saints in Christ.
Yes, the believer has the victory over the devil because of what Jesus achieved in His resurrection. However, it is important for the believer to daily walk in that victory.
As deceptive as the devil has always been, he makes believers doubt their identity and victory in Christ Jesus.
This is why you have to intentionally put on the whole armor of God.
You put on the whole armor of God to wrestle against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
You don’t wrestle with these forces for victory. You wrestle with these forces from the place of victory.
You will be able to withstand in the evil day with the following:
* Breastplate of Righteousness.
* Â Shoding of your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace
* Shield of faith (with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one)
* Helmet of salvation
God has given believers more than enough armor pieces that in every way the believer shall walk in victory.
As part of the list of the believer’s armor, there is also the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT.
“Take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” Ephesians 6:17 (NKJV)
Paul the apostle, didn’t hesitate to be direct with what the Sword of the Spirit represents.
It is the WORD OF GOD!
In every battle, there are weapons used offensively and others used defensively.
Interestingly, the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God is used both defensively and offensively.
The Sword of the Spirit is the revelation of the knowledge of God in your heart. By the revelation of the knowledge of God, you wage war and exercise your victory in Christ.
With the word of God, you are able to stand and also advance offensively against the rulers of darkness.

– As I feast daily on the word, I increase in the revelation of God.
– I esteem the word of God in my life.

My, oh, my, the sword of the Spirit is both defensive and offensive. Now I know it is necessary to always feast on the word of God because as God is revealed through the knowledge of his word in my heart, I wage war and exercise my victory in Christ.

The sword of the spirit is both an offensive and defensive weapon.
The revelation of the knowledge of God in my heart is the sword of the spirit.
I wage war with the sword of the spirit, as I wage war with the revelation of the knowledge of God in my heart.
With the sword of the spirit, I break through the defenses of the adversary in order to fulfill the command of my master, just as the three mighty men of David broke through the garrison of the philistines to fetch water for their master. With the sword of the Spirit, the Lord is doing valiantly by my hands; I am taking kingdoms for my master Jesus.

The weapons of my warfare are not canal but mighty unto the pulling down of Strong holds casting down any thoughts or ideologies that rises above the Christ
I make use of the sword of the spirit to attack and defend my self from anything that is not consistent with Jesus in my life
Job 23:12
Neither have I gone back to the commandment of his lips I have esteem the word of his mouth more than my necessary food.

I walk daily in the confidence of my victory in Jesus

It’s time to enter enemy territory armed with the word of God
The Word of God is a weapon hence I decide to grow in the revelation of the Word in other not to be handicapped on the way.
I grow in the knowledge and revelation of the Word
I esteem the word of God in my life.
The sword of the spirit represents the word of God
I hold unto the word of God
I live by the revelation of Gods word
The Sword of the Spirit, which also speaks of the revelation of God’s word in my spirit cannot be overemphasised.
In the day of adversity, that revelatory word in a man’s spirit sustains him. Oh Glory! I put on this armor at all times.
I don’t faint in the day of adversity because I am founded on the WORD of GOD!
By the revelation of the knowledge of God, I wage war and exercise my victory in Christ.
Oh glory to GOD!!
It is the WORD OF GOD!
The weapon of the spirit used both defensively and offensively..

The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God
And that sword in my mouth is the revelation of Jesus I have in my heart
Thank you Lord Jesus
I give myself to God’s word
In the name of Jesus I increase in the revelation of the knowledge of God to wage and exercise my victory in Christ.
I walk daily in the victory of Christ.
I refuse to doubt my identity and my victory in Christ Jesus.
I wrestle from a place of victory.
By the revelation of the knowledge of God in my heart, I wage war and I exercise my victory in Christ.
I stand strong and I advance offensively against the rulers of darkness.
I esteem the word of God in my life.
As I feast daily on the word, I increase in the revelation of God.
Thank you Lord Jesus for this precious present reality.
