PUT ON THE SHIELD OF FAITH 1
It has been an exciting discussion and there are rich depths we are gleaning from the scriptures, concerning the Armor of God

We have already looked at the Belt of Truth, The Breastplate of Righteousness and The Feet Shod with the Preparation of the Gospel.
Today, we look into the fourth item or military gear Apostle Paul mentioned — THE SHIELD OF FAITH.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Ephesians 6:13-16 (KJV)
Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Lord defeated the devil and made a public spectacle of him (Colossians 2:15). This victory of the Lord is available for men. Yet not all men have a share in this victory. It is only those who have received the Lord Jesus, shares in His victory legally. Those who have not received the Lord are under the deception and control of demonic forces, principalities and powers who rule in darkness. The devil and his cohorts have no legal aid to condemn, oppress or subdue those who are saved in Christ. However, through the deceptive schemes of the devil, many believers are oppressed by darkness.
Though the adversary was defeated, he still wages war with the saints.
The adversary is at war to:
1. Prevent the saints from labouring through the gospel to save the people of the world from darkness to light.
2. Distract the believers or the saints from living and enjoying their inheritance in Christ Jesus.
3. Prevent the believers or saints from being part of the accomplishment of the ultimate plan and purpose of God.
No believer must give room for the schemes of the adversary to prevail. This is why the Lord has supplied every believer with His armor. The armor we are to put on as believers in Christ, is not our self-generated armor. It is God’s own armor!
In this Spiritual warfare, the cohorts of the devil, are busily and relentlessly throwing missiles at the saints. But as a saint or believer in Christ, you have the SHIELD OF FAITH as your defensive armor.
These flaming missiles or fiery darts of the wicked, are things which are not consistent with the knowledge and character of Christ.
They are things which distract you, oppress you, depress you and weaken you.
The adversary is called the wicked one, he has nothing for you which is good.
Take a stand as a good soldier in Christ and take up the shield of faith to quench every attack of the wicked one.
It is not the Lord who will take up the shield of faith for you.
The Lord has made provision of His own armor for your use. It is now your responsibility to take the shield of faith.

A deceptive scheme!

I take up the shield of faith to quench every attack of the wicked one.
By the shield of faith, today I extinguish every flaming arrow of the evil one and his cohorts against my life.

I cannot go backwards for I have taken the side of my Lord Jesus

I take up the shield of faith to stop every imaginations, strongholds and high things that are not in consistent with the knowledge Christ.
All strongholds are brokennnnnn!!!
I take up the shield of faith. With the shield of faith, I overcome the plans of the wicked against me. Thank You Lord.

When my heart is overwhelmed he leads me to a rock that is higher than I

He has been a shelter for me and a strong tower from my enemies.

I don’t fall to the deceptive schemes and tricks of the adversary
Christ has won the victory for me,he stripped the adversary off his power and authority for me
I walk in my victory ( the victory Christ achieved for me)and don’t fall as prey to the lies of the adversary. I put on the shield of faith

The bible reading plan, seem to have skipped Chapter 31 to 37 of 2 Chronicles. May i know if this deliberate or we should find our own time to make up for the deficit?

God Himself is my shield ❤????❤????
No wonder He is the one who provides with weapons (His armor) in this ongoing warfare
I put on the armor of God????????????
1. The Belt of Truth
2.The Breastplate of righteousness
3.Shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace
4.The shield of faith
I put on my shield of faith with which I am able to stand against the fiery darts of the wicked one
Indeed, even though God provides you with the shield of faith, you are to put it on and enforce it yourself.
*Never Again*!!!! Will I allow the adversary throw these flaming missiles or fiery darts at me , (things which are not consistent with the knowledge and character of Christ.)

If it is not God who is to take up the shield for man then that means man has been granted the ability to carry the shield so If he refuses God cannot do anything no matter how you call on him
And it is by only this shield of Faith the fiery darts of the enemies are quenched
So no matter how much you see the council of men you cannot be satisfied unless you take up what has been put at your disposal by God

The armor I use as a soldier is not a self generated armor, it is God’s Own Armor.
I have the shield of faith as my defensive armor.

And I take up the shield of faith to quench every attack of the wicked one
