LIVE IN THE CERTAINTY OF FAITH 2
“Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”
Galatians 3:11 (ESV)
To grasp this discussion, take some time also to read LIVE IN THE CERTAINTY OF FAITH.
One of the key things you must understand about faith is that faith operates according to KNOWLEDGE.
We have learnt that everyone born of God in Christ has the Faith of God.
We all (in Christ) have the measure of faith. The measure of faith is the faith of Jesus.
At new birth, faith germinated in you. This was not automatic, though spontaneous.
However, it is one thing to have faith and another to function by faith. And the effectiveness of your faith is connected to your KNOWLEDGE.
Faith is produced by the knowledge of the word of God. Thus, the word of God is the object of faith. Faith is not human vigor or strength. Faith does not operate out of nothing. The foundation of faith is the word of God.
No one can have the faith of God without the word of God.
This is why faith is not automatic. It is intentionally produced by the organic work of God.
While dealing with the subject, “YOU HAVE THE FAITH OF GOD“, I pointed out how the disciples of Jesus were with Jesus yet didn’t experience the germination of faith in their hearts. Faith germinates in your heart not only by association but by revelation.
The knowledge which births faith is a revelational knowledge.
Faith is not born out of mere information, awareness or sense knowledge. This was the state of the disciples in most of the instances before the resurrection of Jesus.
Faith fully germinated in them in the resurrection of Jesus. Remember, the newness of life began through the resurrection of Jesus.
Nevertheless, it is important to note that others lived by Faith before the resurrection of Jesus, though the person and the fullness of God’s revelation (the Word) were made manifest in Christ Jesus. God, in divers manners at sundry times, spoke and revealed dimensions of His wisdom to different people.
Hebrews 11 revealed a lot about those who, through faith, rejected the pleasures of this world and pleased God, received strength to conceive and to give birth, shut the mouth of lions and subdued kingdoms!
What was their secret?
They exercised faith according to the revelation of God they personally handled. (Read on HAVE A PERSONAL REVELATION).
By the revelation of the word, you don’t walk in the uncertainty of life. You live in total confidence of who God is and according to His power.
Knowing that you also have the faith of God, live in the certainty of faith.
To live in the certainty of faith is to live by the revelation of the word of God.
It means you make decisions, act and take steps by faith. Your life decisions are influenced by the word of God.
Just as it is said in 1 Corinthians 2:
“None of the rulers of this present world order understood it, for if they had, they never would have crucified the Lord of shining glory. This is why the Scriptures say:
Things never discovered or heard of before,
things beyond our ability to imagine—
these are the many things God has in store
for all his lovers.” 1 Corinthians 2:8-9 (TPT)
The Jewish rulers didn’t have the right revelation and understanding of the scriptures so they couldn’t act in faith. They were blind to see Jesus as their Savior. They made the worst-ever decision by rejecting their God and plotted His crucifixion.
This was because of their ignorance.
Through the ministry of the word, you got saved by faith. As you have faith, continue to live in the certainty of faith through the revelation of the Word of God.

That the LORD will bring to our heart the right revelation of His word concerning every situation, and to cause us to live in the certainty of faith.
