YOUR SPIRITUAL ROOT
“rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.“ Colossians 2:7 (ESV)
Though man lives in a physical world, he is a spiritual being. When God made man, he formed the spirit of man.
“The oracle of the word of the LORD concerning Israel: Thus declares the LORD, who stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him.“ Zechariah 12:1 (ESV).
And God is a Spirit (John 4:24), therefore you can only contact Him by your spirit. This is the purpose of the spirit of man. It was designed and formed by God so that man can contact Him. After the fall of man in Eden, instead of his spirit being cultivated to have intimate relationship with God, man’s spirit was corrupted and he became subjected to the flesh. The spirit of man was now yielded to darkness, instead of the light of God. Man couldn’t have deep relationship with God. Man’s spirituality was influenced by corruption and darkness.
But now, when you became born again, the old spiritual self was terminated or died on the cross with Jesus (Galatians 2:20).
Your spiritual root is no longer in the corruption of Adam. Your spirituality is rooted in the incorruptibility of Christ. In Christ, you have escaped the corruption of the world. And have a share in the divine nature of God.
“And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.” 2 Peter 1:4 (NLT)
You are now a New Creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your spiritual root is now in the life of Christ Jesus.
“Your spiritual roots go deeply into his life as you are continually infused with strength, encouraged in every way. For you are established in the faith you have absorbed and enriched by your devotion to him!“ Colossians 2:7 (TPT).
Your spiritual root is no longer in some traditions of men, Mosaic law, Jewish religion, ancient mystisicms, new age movement theories and your ungodly imaginations.
Your spirituality is now deeply rooted in Christ.
Knowing and understanding your spiritual root will define how you walk in dominion on earth.
You are in Christ; who is your spiritual root. Draw inspiration and nourishment only from Him.

Thank you lord for this opportunity to meditate on your word once again. I am continually infused with strength in every way by my deep rootedness in you oh Lord. My spirituality is rooted in the incorruptibility of Christ. In Christ, I have escaped the corruption of the world and I have a share in the divine nature of God.

Thank you Apostle Sir for the enlightenment

It is so amazing that when man fell into the garden by disobeying God, the Lord brought us back to Himself by His own perfect will and purpose.
The old nature, which was corrupted by sin was terminated on the cross and I am now infused with the righteousness of our Lord in Christ Jesus!
I am born again. Gloreey!!!
